🛡️X Partners with Integral Ad Science for New Brand Safety Measures

Source- X Business

X partners with Integral Ad Science (IAS) to bolster ad safety, introducing a "premium, vetted inventory" to align with GARM guidelines. Advertisers can now select among three sensitivity settings: "Conservative", "Standard", and "Relaxed". Furthermore, X is piloting pre-made blocklists for unsafe keywords. These moves aim to regain advertiser trust amid skepticism fueled by X's free speech approach and controversial claims.

🛍️ TikTok Boosts In-App Shopping in the UK

TikTok introduces "Fulfilled by TikTok" in the UK, streamlining deliveries by handling logistics for merchants. This service offers same-day fulfillment for orders placed by 7 pm, Monday to Saturday. Inspired by its Chinese counterpart, Douyin, which saw a 320% sales boost in 2022, TikTok aims to capitalize on current trends, potentially reshaping in-app shopping for its vast user base.

🔍 Google Reduces Visibility of HowTo & FAQ Rich Results

Google is reducing the visibility of "HowTo" and "FAQ" rich results in search. "FAQ" rich results will be phased out for most sites, except authoritative health and government websites. Meanwhile, "HowTo" results will now only appear on desktop searches, not on mobile. Rich results, which use structured data to showcase enhanced content listings, have been popular among publishers for driving traffic. Despite the change, Google suggests publishers not to remove the structured data, as it might still be useful for other search engines.

🎥 YouTube Trials New Recommendation Shelf on Channels

Source- Social Media Today

YouTube is piloting a "For You" section on creator profiles, tailoring content recommendations based on user viewing history. While the current phase doesn't allow creators to opt-out, the final version will offer them more control. Alongside, YouTube is refining its channel layout, hiding empty tabs, and updating the design of the "About" and "Channels" sections to boost user engagement and content discovery.
