Google Ads has unveiled "Page-specific Assets" for its Performance Max campaigns allowing advertisers to input specific webpages, which Google Ads then uses to generate customized assets like images and videos. These assets are optimized to align with the content of the pages, potentially improving ad relevance and performance by tailoring creatives to user context, and enhancing control for advertisers.

Google has revealed plans to retire the sitelinks search box on November 21, citing a significant decline in usage since its launch in 2014. This feature, which enabled users to perform site-specific searches directly from the search results, will not impact search rankings. Following this change, updates to the Search Console are expected, including the removal of related reports and tests.

🎉 Gen Z and Millennials Propel U.S. Holiday Sales to $241 Billion

U.S. holiday sales are projected to reach $241 billion, up 8.4%. Gen Z and millennials will drive the surge, with 76% maintaining or increasing gift spending. Gen Z shoppers are 10.5 times more likely to buy gifts than boomers, using social media for deals (65%), while 79% of boomers prioritize cost. Cyber Week could generate $40.6 billion.

🛒 Consumers Concerned About Online Shopping Data Security

85% of online shoppers regularly check credit card statements for unauthorized charges, according to a CardRates.com survey. With 69% expressing concerns over fraud and identity theft, convenience drives 72% to shop online. Alarmingly, 56% do not update their passwords regularly. As the holiday season approaches, 63% of consumers use different passwords across their shopping accounts.
