According to Ignite Visibility's study, 82.5% of marketers plan to increase their SEO budgets in 2024. The survey of 206 marketing experts highlights content marketing as a key area of focus. The September 2023 Google update improved rankings for 50% of respondents. Despite challenges in producing high-quality content, 59.2% reported successful business generation through content marketing in 2023.
🛒 May Retail Sales Rise 4.5% as Consumers Shift from Services
Retail sales rose 4.5% year-over-year to $252.68B in May, with e-commerce up 6.4%, per the U.S. Department of Commerce. Core retail sales, excluding restaurants, automobiles, and gasoline, increased by 2.88%. Home goods sales fell nearly 6%, while electronics and apparel sales grew by 3% and 4.5%. Consumers are shifting spending away from services.
