🤖 Majority of marketers test AI; survey reveals mixed reactions

According to The Conference Board, 87% of marketers and 85% of communication pros have tested AI tools. Top uses include content summarization and personalization. While 82% expect AI to enhance productivity, there are concerns: 40% anticipate job losses, and 22% fear a hit to team culture. Denise Dahlhoff of The Conference Board suggests AI can enhance creativity if used to augment, not replace, human ideas.

🛍️ Newegg uses ChatGPT for concise review summaries

Source- Search Engine Land

Newegg employs the ChatGPT AI model to generate "Review Bytes", concise summaries of customer reviews on product pages, enhancing user experience. This feature, accompanied by a "SummaryAI", is available on Newegg's desktop site for certain reviewed products. Beyond reviews, Newegg integrates ChatGPT for tools like PC Builder, optimizing website content, and improving customer interactions. Andrew Choi of Newegg emphasizes the value of AI in streamlining shopping experiences.

🤝 Instagram Trials Collaborative Posting for More Engagement

Instagram is trialing a feature allowing users to add their own media to others' posts, pending the original creator's approval. Inspired by TikTok’s remix and duet trends, this facilitates collaborative albums and shared experiences. Introduced after the 2021 "Add Yours" sticker, this feature could let brands invite user-generated content directly into their posts. How this impacts feed distribution and user engagement remains to be seen. No official release info is available yet.

🤖 TikTok Mandates Labels for AI-Created Content

Source- Social Media Today

TikTok is now requiring users to tag AI-generated content depicting "realistic scenes" to curb the potential misuse of AI deep fakes. This move follows an update to TikTok's rules in March and is part of the platform's efforts to stay ahead of the increasing prevalence of AI-generated content. The Chinese version of TikTok uses AI labels, drawing on ByteDance's expertise. Other platforms like Instagram and YouTube are also developing AI content labels to address the rise of AI-generated content.
