📈 Walmart Sees 26% Rise in U.S. Ad Sales, Gains Market Share

Walmart gained market share among higher-income consumers and saw a significant rise in ad sales. U.S. ad sales increased by 26%, contributing to a 24% overall increase. Revenues climbed 6% to $161.5 billion, while operating income rose 8% to $6.84 billion. Comparable U.S. sales increased by 3.8%, with e-commerce sales jumping 22%, driving strong financial results.

A new IBM survey reveals that 62% of CPG CEOs and 58% of retail CEOs believe competitive advantage hinges on advanced generative AI, up from 59% and 42% in 2023, respectively. Additionally, 63% are pushing for faster AI adoption, while only 43% report having effective AI governance in place.
