🚫 Google Ads Drops Audience Recommendations
Google Ads has removed the Audience Recommendations feature from its Insights tab, requiring advertisers to manually identify and select audience segments leading to increased time and effort in campaign optimization. While Google hasn’t provided a clear reason, the shift suggests a focus on more user-driven targeting strategies, potentially posing a learning curve for those reliant on automation.
🚫 X Continues Showing Ads with Harmful Content
Source - Social Media Today
A CCDH report reveals X is still displaying ads from major brands, such as GlaxoSmithKline and Betfred, next to harmful content related to U.K. race riots. These ads appear alongside posts from controversial accounts with 260 million views. This practice, linked to X’s Creator Ad Revenue Share Program, might cause advertisers to reconsider their spending on the platform.
