🔒 Microsoft to Display Ads Only from Verified Advertisers from August

What it looks like!

Microsoft Advertising, from Aug 1, will exclusively display ads from verified advertisers. To prevent ad delivery disruptions, advertisers need to complete Microsoft Ads' verification requirements. The new policy requires all ads to feature the advertiser's name and location, payer details, and targeting rationale. Additionally, to help transparency, an Ad Library is launching, enabling users to view and search Bing ads displayed in the EU.

🛍️ Amazon Empowers Sellers with Hexa's AR, 3D Tech

Amazon has partnered with 3D visualization company Hexa to give sellers tools for creating 3D images, immersive 360 visualizations, virtual try-on, and augmented reality (AR) content for their product pages. The technology, which aims to enhance online shopping experiences and boost seller conversion rates, allows sellers to convert images into 3D models using their Amazon Standard Identification Numbers. This is part of Amazon's ongoing efforts to enhance its AR shopping features.

💰 TikTok BroadensSeries’ Monetization to More Creators

Initially, the Series was only available to selected creators.

TikTok is expanding its 'Series' subscription option, allowing more creators to monetize their content. Creators can post up to 80 paywalled videos per series, each up to 20 minutes long, with subscription prices ranging from $1 to $190. Initially, the Series was exclusive to select creators, now, those aged 18+ with more than 10k followers can join, subject to regional availability. This is seen as TikTok's attempt to better its monetization model, thereby retaining top creators & competing with platforms like YouTube and Instagram.

🤖 LinkedIn Tests New AI Assistant for InMails

LinkedIn is testing an AI assistant for its InMail feature, streamlining DMing by providing quick responses & advice on conversation elements, adding to Microsoft's efforts to integrate ChatGPT-like tools into its platforms. This comes after LinkedIn's introduction of AI-generated profile summaries, job descriptions & post creation prompts. Despite concerns about human interaction being replaced by AI, this development could enhance lead nurturing efforts by providing readily accessible user information. However, the launch date for this feature remains unspecified.

🎓 TikTok Enhances 'Academy' with New Learning Courses

Each course includes a range of visual examples and insights

TikTok expanded its 'TikTok Academy' educational platform, adding 5 new courses, making a total of 17. Recent courses include topics such as engaging with diverse cultures, developing engagement strategies, TikTok fundamentals, creative codes & lead generation. The aim is to provide marketers with an understanding of how to use TikTok more effectively. Despite concerns about bans, TikTok remains popular among younger users, making these resources valuable for improving marketing efforts. More courses on commerce, retail, content creation, and brand safety are planned for later this year.
